Comprehensive Course In Esthetics
(Duration 4 Days. Fees - Rs. 100000, USD 2000$)

Excellent Esthetics is more than just form and function. It is about stretching the laws of nature in recreating something of extraordinary beauty, naturally. It is a combination of using the Art beyond the Science of Dentistry by using one or a combination of techniques.

This four module series is carefully planned and executed to teach the various modalities and current state of the art techniques in restorative and cosmetic dentistry. Tooth whitening, anterior and posterior bonded restorations, veneers, metal free crown and bridge, impression making, temporization and smile design all make up this didactic step by step curriculum.

Module 1 & 2 – Porcelain Veneers, Crown and Bridge and Dual Cementation

Here’s where we start to bridge the gap! Covering the entire envelope of prostho-esthetics the principles of crown and bridge with the salient differences between conventional and metal free preparations.

Techniques of preparing, and executing porcelain veneers along with temporization will be emphasized. Laboratory communication and shade matching will be looked into to achieve exacting results.

Dual cementation techniques and compatibility between different materials like metal, resin cements and porcelain will be examined. Repair of a fractured porcelain crown/veneer will be demonstrated and the importance and fabrication of good quality provisionals for esthetic cases will be shown.

Various Impression materials and techniques along with tissue retraction and conditioning to achieve that exemplary result will be described.

Learning Objectives:

1) Tooth Preparations for Conventional and Metal Free Crowns.
2) Designing the esthetic Ovate pontic site
3) Laboratory Communication and Shade assessment.
4) Dual Cementation techniques
5) Fabrication of good esthetic and functional provisionals
6) Tissue retraction and conditioning

All materials will be provided; course includes Lunch and 2 Tea Breaks.
* Limited attendance workshop

Module 3 – Successful simplified Posterior resin Restorations Class I & II.

Learn about the latest generation of resin systems and how to apply them to achieve the most predictable and esthetic results.

Class I and II resin based composite restorations will be discussed. Materials, techniques and step by step procedure will be shown.

Insertion and layering of a Class II restoration including finishing will be demonstrated. All candidates will then do a hands-on Class II composite resin restoration on the models supplied using the latest state of the art matrix systems.

Learning Objectives:

1) Methods to make inexpensive class II composites faster, easier and more predictable.
2) The transition from amalgams to composite Class II’s
3) Achieving tight contacts
4) Insertion and usage of the latest matrix systems
5) How to avoid hypersensitivity
6) Layering techniques to create life like polychromatic restorations
7) Finishing and polishing posterior composites

* All materials will be provided; course includes Lunch and 2 Tea Breaks.
* Limited attendance workshop.

Module4– The design and placement of Direct Resin Veneers.

Discolored teeth, malposed teeth, multiple restorations, worn down dentition ever so often needs to be rejuvenated with the help of veneers. This restorative procedure brings about a great deal of satisfaction within the patient and artists out of clinicians giving both a future to smile about!

The candidate is taken though a detailed tailor-made workshop on how to create vital polychromatic veneers using a combination of different resins. Tooth preparation in different circumstances, resin selection and application and finishing procedures will be discussed in a step by step manner.

The creation of a direct resin veneer will be demonstrated along with staining and characterization following which each candidate will commence and make a direct veneer on the modes supplied.

Learning objectives:

1. Tooth preparations for veneers in various clinical situations.
2. Veneer design when lengthening the tooth.
3. Resin insertion to achieve polychromatism
4. Staining and tinting
5. Creation of incisal halos
6. Finishing and polishing technique
7. Soft tissue consideration.

* All materials will be provided; course includes Lunch and 2 Tea Breaks.
* Limited attendance workshop.
* After completion of the course there would be gala dinner where participants would be awarded certificates.
